AccesSportAmerica takes
to the seas
Islanders and summer tourists hit the
streets, the sand and the saltwater on Saturday for the Adaptive "Triathlon"
co-sponsored by Nantucket Community Sailing and AccesSportAmerica, an
Acton, Mass.-based nonprofit organization that teaches high-challenge
for individuals with disabilities, which hosts island clinics on Fridays
at Jetties Beach. The "triathlon" featured a fun run/walk
from Jetties Beach to Brant Point and back. The afternoon included demonstrations
of watersports and an outrigger canoe race (pictured).
