ACCESSPORTAMERICA HAS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING EVENT TO KICK OFF SECOND DECADE OF SERVICE

Stars shine bright at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel

March 30, 2007 — Boston, Mass.— About two hundred people gathered to raise money and awareness for AccesSportAmerica at their annual spring auction. Joining Academy Award Winner Chris Cooper and his wife Soprano¹s cast member Marianne Leone Cooper were Master of Ceremonies Mariellen Burns and TV and Movie star Lenny Clarke (featured on Fox TV¹s "The Winner" and "Rescue Me") served in his traditional role as auctioneer.

AccesSportAmerica, a national, non-profit organization, is dedicated to the discovery and achievement of higher function and fitness for children and adults of all disabilities through high-challenge sports. The organization was founded over ten years ago by Ross W. Lilley and was introduced to a wider audience by Dr. Tim Johnson, Medical Editor of ABC News, who interviewed Ross for a segment on ABC. Dr. Tim also attended and participated in the auction this year, adding to the number of local entertainment, sporting, and business luminaries who attended alongside of AccesSport athletes, their families and many supporters and contributors. "I am so thrilled to continue to observe AccesSportAmerica¹s growth and progress", said Dr. Tim Johnson, "I attend this event not as a member of the news community, but as an individual interested in seeing and supporting people with disabilities and how they can achieve their fitness goals and improve their quality of life by working with AccesSport staffers."

According to AccesSport Board Chair Mark Thirman this was most successful event yet. "This year we raised over $150,000 in a combination of silent and high-octane Lenny Clarke-assisted auctions." Event chair and board member, Susan Halby commented: "this year about two hundred people attended and actively participated and mingled. This is about the same level of attendance as last year, but we raised about 25% more this year."

According to Executive Director Ross W. Lilley, this annual auction is an event where individuals can make a difference at any contribution level—or just support the program by attending. Upcoming AccesSportAmerica events include the Mayor¹s Cup on June 24th. Please check the AccesSportAmerica web site (www.accessportamerica.org) for more details.

About AccesSportAmerica: now in its second decade of helping kids and adults of all disability levels attain higher function through a wide range of high-challenge sports, including windsurfing, kayaking, tennis, fitness workouts, and more. AccesSportAmerica was founded by Ross W. Lilley who was inspired by his son Josh's enthusiasm for these activities plus the improvements his son experienced when engaging in these sports using equipment AccesSport has either invented or adapted to provide people with disabilities with greater access to such sports. Josh is now 19 and is AccesSport's "chief test pilot." Now, AccesSportAmerica serves hundreds of people annually through program partnerships with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, the Massachusetts Hospital School, Perkins School for the Blind, and others, where our program is delivered
